The WEOHT is recruiting for their Patient, Family, and Caregiver Partnership Council (PFAC). We want to work with you to better understand, and create change informed by the healthcare concerns of patients, families, and caregivers in our region. Your experiences and priorities play an important role in shaping how our region designs and delivers health care that meets the needs of our community and improves healthcare experiences.

Please note that PFAC Members act as independent partners to the Ontario Health Team, and are not employees of the Ontario Health Team.

We are looking for individuals from the Windsor-Essex Region.

You will advise on topics such as mental health and addictions, virtual health care, pandemic response and recovery, and general health care planning. We are seeking council members who represent our region’s diverse communities.

  • People who regularly use, or support those who use the health system. For example: seeing your doctor, receiving care for mental health or addictions, or being a patient/caregiver of someone in the hospital.
  • People who are interested in improving care for others in their community.
  • People who may experience barriers in our current system are vital. This helps ensure that health services meet the diverse needs of our region.

What do we need from you?

  • A two-year commitment
  • Attendance at meetings (virtually or in-person) a minimum of six times per year. Accommodations are provided to ensure you can participate.
  • An interest in collaborating with other patient advisors across the health system and participating in ongoing training and educational opportunities.

We will invite potential candidates for a telephone or video interview. Participation on the PFAC is strictly voluntary, expenses to participate may be eligible for reimbursement.
