Description: Access to culturally safe health care continues to present significant challenges for Indigenous peoples. Achieving equitable health outcomes for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities requires systemic transformation within the health care system—one that embeds and normalizes culturally safe practices while ensuring that Indigenous peoples are supported to lead and direct their own health care priorities and outcomes. Knowledge alone is insufficient to effect meaningful change; deliberate and sustained action is required. The health system must move beyond awareness and commit to measurable improvement.
